(International Mobile Equipment Identity number). When a phone is

I know it's a .com.au website, but IMEI stands for 'International mobile
equipment identity' meaning if it's reported stolen in one country,
amta.org.au should list it aswell.

yeah its god to find out . but in trinidad it dont make sense even if your phone is stolen an u report it . they (both digicel an bmobile) DOES ABSLOUTELY NOTHING bout it .

I wasn goin an say it... but since death say it yeah there's no local interest in this steups. It probably means more business for them that we'd have to buy more phones... but i'm more concerned about the fact that this has the potential to assist in solving crimes but nobody cares...

Well not exactly,the only thing I know they do is register your number to another sim so you don't have get another number,surprisingly this was done free of charge when you obtain a police report,don't know if it still like that presently though.But since a cell phone emits it location to the network when it is on,i'm sure there is a way to track it down and get it back,but like raucous said,it just means more money for them since you have to buy a new phone so they don't care about your interest.

Hello guys, In my country jamaica, imei blocking is available for both bmobile & digicel. There r alot of people here being kill for their own cellphone. I belive that was the reason why it was available!
